The Galvac fleet
Galvac operate a fleet of five 26 tonne MTS Dino 3 vacuum excavators and two 39 tonne MTS Dino 5 excavators, one of which is a high lift and one a triple fan.
All vehicles are supplied with an experienced two man operator team in line with our commitment to the highest standards of health and safety.

MTS Dino 5 high tip
Our Dino 5 high tip, named Rio, is one of the latest specialist additions to our fleet.
Boasting an impressive 12.9 cubic metre skip, this unit will hold almost twice that of the traditional 26 tonne units and can tip directly into a muck away lorry or grab wagon, drastically reducing handling.
Our high tip also has a hydrostatic drive installed and a large water/slurry pump attached, offering the ability to vacuum whilst moving and to remove water from excavations to allow the continuation of works.
Specification:
- Weight – 39 tonnes
- Container Volume – 12.9m³
- Dimensions – 10.3 x 2.5 x 3.7m
- Air Compressor – 4.5 m³/min, 8bar
- Ventilator – Patented twin fan technology
- Excavation Depth – 30m
- Vacuum Distance – 125m
- Suction Hose – 250mm, power arm
- Arm Reach – 7.2m

- Chassis – 4-axle on a TRIDEM (8×4)

MTS Dino 5 triple fan
Ronnie, a Dino 5 triple fan, is the latest addition to the Galvac fleet.
The added power of a third fan provides supreme suction that allows us to vacuum excavate from a distance of up to approximately 250m.
This, combined with an impressive 12.9 cubic metre skip capacity, allows superior production time and is particularly suitable where access is an issue.

- Water Pump / IKR – Yes
- Remote Control – SPS Radio Remote Control
- Chassis – 4-axle on a TRIDEM (8×4)

MTS Dino 3
With a 5.5 cubic metre skip volume and 18m excavation depth, the 26 tonne Dino 3 is suitable for various applications and is widely used in the excavation of areas where live utilities are to be exposed.

- Weight – 20 tonnes
- Dimensions – 2.55 x 3.2 x 7.7m
- Capacity – 4.5m³
- Air Compressor – 4.5m³/min, 8 bar

VC70
The VC70 is a compact, remote-controlled vacuum crawler designed for efficient and safe excavation, capable of removing a wide range of materials (soil, gravel, mud, and water) while minimising damage to underground utilities and the surrounding environment.
Specification:
- Weight – 2.5 tonnes
- Dimensions – 1.26 x 1.97 x 3.3m
